| LEITH
HALL
This
unusual and attractive mansion house was
begun in 1650, and subsequent additions
have resulted in a house built around
a central courtyard. The House is a fine
example of a Scottish family home and
is regarded by many as one of the National
Trust for Scotland’s hidden gems.
It contains an interesting variety of
family furniture, artwork, china, tapestry
and military memorabilia, and offers visitors
a unique insight into the lives, loves
and tragedies of the Leith-Hay family
over the last four centuries. In addition
to the house there are extensive gardens,
stables, ponds, countryside trails with
bird hide, picnic area and tearoom.
