| A
good example of a Victorian suspension
bridge, for foot traffic only, of a kind
which is found on other parts of the River
Dee. It was cast in Aberdeen. There was
originally a ferry here, hence the old
ferry inn near the bridge. This building
was, in turn, altered by having a corner
chopped off to allow the railway through
- hence its modern name of Cutaway
Cottage.
There is car parking for visitors at the
bridge and forest walks about a mile
to the west.
