| This
is one of the most picturesque views in
all of the North-East and can be found
midway between Lumphanan and Tarland on
the B9119. The view west is dominated
by the bulk of Morven (871m) and also
takes in the woods and farmlands of the
Howe (Scots: hollow) of Cromar. Southwards
lies Royal Deeside itself, with the Mounth
hills beyond.
